Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
The term chronic is often applied when the
causes of diseases last for more than three months. A disease is an abnormal
condition that affects part or all of an organism not caused by external force.
And the consists of a disorder of a structure or function usually serving as an
evolutionary disadvantage. In humans diseases is often used more broadly to
refer to any condition causes pain in the body, distress, social problems.
Diseases can affect people not only physically but emotionally, as contracting
and living with a disease can alter the affected person's perspective life.
Death due diseases is called death by nature causes. There are four main types
of diseases infectious diseases, deficiency diseases, genetic diseases and
psychological diseases. Diseases can also be classified as communicable
diseases and Non-communicable diseases. In this boarder sense it sometimes
includes injuries, disabilities disorder, syndromes, infectious, isolated
symptoms, deviant behaviors, alcoholism. Drinking is sometimes caused by
disease of the brain.
Alcoholic is a chronic problem too. Chronic
diseases are persistent or otherwise long lasting in its effects or simply
called as a disease which comes with time. Chronic conditions have often being
used to describe the various health related stats of the human body. Additional
some socioeconomic factors may be considered as a chronic condition disability
as they lead to daily life. Hence chronic are a significant burden to economy
through limitations in daily activities. And common chronic diseases are
arthritis, asthma, obesity, cancer, diabetes, viral diseases, such as hepatitis
C, and HIV/AIDS.
Chronic diseases constitute a major cause of mortality in WHO. Chronic
diseases like stroke and heart diseases and cancer are the leading causes of
death. The two most common chronic conditions in the elderly are high blood
pressure, arthritis with diabetes. Coronary heart diseases and cancer also
being reported among the elder population. Though the ratings of chronic
diseases differ by race for these living with chronic illness, it is
interesting to note that the statistics for leading cause of death among the
elderly nearly identical across racial/ethnic group.
Chronic diseases are a major factor in the
continuous growth of medical care spending.
